SHERI DUCHARME GREW UP BETWEEN TIDEWATER VIRGINIA & THE BEACHES OF NORTH CAROLINA’S OUTER BANKS. She came from a real estate family: her mother is a veteran real estate broker & her father is a retired real estate attorney. She first received her Virginia real estate license in 1986; although, it would be another 14 years before she began to sell real estate actively. For most of that time, Sheri was in media sales & advertising, working with newspaper organizations & 2 ABC-TV affiliates in southwestern Virginia & Portland, Oregon; and, as a marketing executive for the Hudson Bay Company in Canada. During that time, Sheri relocated with her family more than a dozen times throughout the US & Canada and learned, first hand, the special attention required to providing services to moving families. She began her real estate business in 2000 with William E. Wood, and in 2001, Sheri Ducharme was named Rookie of the Year for the Tidewater area Board of Realtors. In 2003, she completed her North Carolina Broker’s license & moved permanently to open & manage the William E. Wood & Associates Outer Banks office. Sheri has worked with countless individuals, couples & families to buy & sell property, with a special emphasis on providing personalized client service.

Since then, Sheri has embraced her life on the Outer Banks & is active in her community. She is a member of Beach Buggy Association & Cape Hatteras Anglers Club and fishes most local surf fishing tournaments with “Finz N Grinz”, an all-lady anglers team. She also volunteers her time to Charities for Dare at various community events throughout the year, including the OBX Marathon & Ruthie’s Kitchen. In her off-time, Sheri enjoys reading & sharing time with friends and family. She has 2 grown sons living in California, 3 incredible step sons with Irvin, her significant other, 2 beautiful daughters in law and 3 precious grandchildren. Today, she splits her time between their home in south Nags Head & her office on Hatteras Island. In May 2017, Sheri made the move to Resort Realty. “After 17 years, it was going to take a special Company for me consider making a move. Resort Realty is that Company. I look forward to a long career with Resort and I anticipate exciting opportunities for the future.”
