Kim Endre Director/Broker-In-Charge
Kim Endre, a native of Chicago, moved to the Outer Banks 23 years ago to begin the adventure of her life. Having worked in the field of appraisals prior to moving “HOME”, construction was always an interest.
Upon arriving on the island she began to look for a job in the construction industry and was able to locate one at a local family owned business. After working there many years, her passion took a different turn into the realm of real estate. This field allowed her to combine her knowledge of construction, her desire to work with people, and the idea of making dreams come true on the highest of levels.
Kim got her real estate license in 2004 and set off to make a name for herself in the world of being a REALTOR®. Unfortunately for her, the bubble was just about to burst, and real estate sales began to decline. Not one to give up easily, Kim decided to volunteer her time and get her name and work ethic known in real estate through other avenues.
Starting out as a committee member of several committees led to chairing committees, and then to the Board of Directors of the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®. She has worked on the Board of Directors in different capacities for over 11 years and was President of the Association in 2011.
She was named REALTOR® of the Year in 2011 as well, which is one of the highest honors bestowed on a member from their Association. In 2016 she was given a special President’s Award for consistently going ABOVE AND BEYOND for the Association and the members.
Her local passion led her to begin to volunteer at the State level as well. Again, starting out as a committee member led to chairing committees, and then sitting on the State Board of Directors for a few years. She continues to serve on several State committees and looks forward to seeing her peers at their standard meetings each year. She received the NCAR Rising Star Award in 2008 and then was chosen as 1 of 12 REALTORS® from across the state to attend the NCAR Leadership Academy in 2009. She graduated with her class in 2009 in Savannah, GA.
Kim is dedicated to real estate and has a continued quest for knowledge. In the past 8 years she has received her ABR, Accredited Buyers Representative; CSP, Certified New Home Sales Professional; her GREEN Designation; her RSPS, Resort and Second Home Property Specialist; her SFR, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource; and her SRES, Seniors Real Estate Specialist Designations. She is also currently working on her CRS, Council of Residential Specialists and her GRI, Graduate of REALTOR Institute.
She has always listed and sold property, but several years ago took her Broker-In-Charge class to be able to oversee and manage other Brokers. Her strengths in leadership led her down this path, and her passion for knowledge allows her to share with the other brokers. She is excited about coming to work every day to see what new challenges need to be figured out – as one thing is true about real estate – no two days are ever the same!
When not working with buyers or sellers, or trying to motivate her team, Kim’s passion is spending time with her husband and her dog. She is an avid reader and loves spending time at the beach or taking long walks with her best dog friend by her side.
What does this all mean to you? It means that Kim Endre will do whatever it takes to make your dreams come true. Whether you are buying or selling, she takes her career very seriously, and in turn will work as hard as she needs to in order to assist you. Her knowledge of the Outer Banks is broad, as she loves to explore the many wonders that her home has to offer. She looks forward getting to know you and assisting you in turning your dreams into reality.
