I grew up in a military family, moved around quite a bit before settling in Alexandria, Virginia. After high school, I went to Old Dominion University where I graduated with a Degree in Health and Physical Education. I moved to the Outer Banks in 1992. My wife, Carolyn, and I built a house in South Nags Head in 1995 and have lived there since. Carolyn and I were involved with the Dare County Foster Parents Program and have adopted a daughter through the program. I am a member of the Nags Head Surf Fishing Club and a member of the North Carolina Beach Buggy Association. I enjoy the Outer Banks lifestyle, the many varieties of sport fishings and walking in the morning with our dogs, Jada and Cody.
