Cam Foster Broker
I was born and raised in a small town in northwestern Virginia. While still engaged in my primary profession of computer technology and communications, I assisted my husband, Tucker, who is a licensed building contractor, in purchasing land and selling houses. We loved being at the Outer Banks, so after many years of vacationing here from Avon to Corolla, we bought a second home in Kill Devil Hills. Even though it was a six hour drive from our house in Winchester, we made the trip at least once a month just to be here. In 2002 I moved here full-time in order to study for my real estate license exam and train for a triathlon to benefit the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. Tucker joined me here shortly after that time and began building our new house in Nags Head, which we moved into immediately after selling our house in Kill Devil Hills. I joined Resort Realty in February 2003 after receiving my NC real estate sales and Brokers license and quickly became eCertified. Working in real estate has been a thoroughly pleasant change from my prior technology career, getting to meet and work with a very diverse group of people from many different geographical locations. Though I work with both buyers and sellers, I have to admit that I like working with buyers more because it is so rewarding to find a property that is both a good investment and one that the buyers enjoy using as much as I enjoyed my second home. It is also a challenge to use my skills and the many web-based real estate tools to provide my buyers with a true essence of the property they are looking at from a long distance and enabling me to give them exceptional service throughout the entire buying process. Even when I go back to Winchester to visit my friends and family – son, daughter, and beautiful granddaughter, I am always just a phone call or email message away from my clients. My husband and I are crazy about our Golden Retriever, Jackson, whom we adopted from a rescue several months after losing our beloved Blondie to disease. We also adopted a beautiful Himalayan cat from a dear friend who was no longer able to care for it. When not working, I enjoy going to the beach or boating with my husband, walking the dog, bicycling, or relaxing with a good book.
